Biography

Joshua is a Licensed Professional Counselor and former U.S. Army Sergeant and law enforcement leader with a deep commitment to helping individuals, couples, and families grow, heal, and thrive. Drawing from his extensive experience in high-pressure environments, along with years of mentoring and clinical practice, Joshua brings a grounded, compassionate, and holistic perspective to his work.

In his counseling practice, Joshua works extensively with couples seeking to rebuild, strengthen, and restore their marriages while improving overall family dynamics. His approach is comprehensive and integrative, addressing key areas such as trauma, roles and responsibilities, spirituality, communication patterns, cognitive frameworks, conflict resolution, values, guiding principles, and long-term relational goals.

Joshua also supports individuals navigating complex life transitions, including divorce, workplace challenges, developmental trauma, church-related hurt, and family conflict. He is committed to helping clients gain clarity, build resilience, and move forward with intention and purpose.

His clinical and coaching work integrates evidence-based modalities, including the Gottman Method, Family Systems Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In addition, as a Certified Christian Life Coach, Joshua thoughtfully incorporates faith-based principles when aligned with the client’s values and preferences.

Beyond his clinical work, Joshua is a dynamic speaker who presents to schools, organizations, and community groups on topics such as emotional intelligence, spirituality, personal development, and relational intelligence. He is passionate about equipping individuals with practical tools and insights that foster growth, strengthen relationships, and promote long-term well-being.

Joshua is happily married and a proud father of two children. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys reading, watching films, traveling with his family, maintaining physical fitness, and engaging in his faith community. His personal and professional experiences inform a counseling style that is authentic, principled, and deeply relational—centered on helping individuals and families heal, grow, and move forward with clarity and purpose.
