Staff Overview

Don Olund, MA, LCPC, Owner/Executive Director of LWC

I am a native Chicagoan and remember when the Prudential Building was the tallest skyscraper in the city! Residing in the city and surrounding suburbs my entire life gives me a unique perspective of the “windy city” culture. Growing up fourth in a family of five children, I knew at an early age I wanted to help people connect.  My youngest brother Tom was born with a disability that required special attention. I learned to modify my communication style in order to connect with him. Caring for Tom created strong and meaningful relationships in our family.  Learn more…

My journey as an Art Therapist began in 1997 at the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy.  Learn more…

I began my career in 1982 as a crisis counselor in Northeastern Ohio.  (In Canton, to be more specific.  In fact, our agency was just a stone’s throw from the Football Hall of Fame).  During the intervening thirty-odd years, I have never once regretted going into this field.  Learn more…
