Hello! I’m Tara. My goal as a counselor is to create a relaxed, supportive, and nonjudgmental
environment where you feel safe to be yourself. I value your unique needs and goals, and I work collaboratively with you to build on your strengths and overcome obstacles. Ultimately, I want to help you feel empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Governors State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. This background allows me to combine clinical expertise with strong interpersonal skills, helping me build meaningful connections with clients from diverse backgrounds. My training has equipped me with evidence-based approaches to support emotional well-being, while my communication foundation helps me listen deeply, foster trust, and create a space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I strive to tailor my approach to each individual, ensuring that our work together is both effective and engaging.
I work with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, trauma, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, time management, adjustment issues, and major life transitions.
Clients often describe me as outgoing, empathetic, and positive. I strive to bring warmth,
understanding, and authenticity to each session. Whether you’re facing a difficult season or seeking personal growth, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
